One note guys: I will not be gun hunting with my ML and will never fire my current muzzleloader again. In fact it has been dismantled and pitched. Operator error has caused a bulge in the barrel. At some point last season I had to have NOT seated the bullet tight against the powder. This being so, when I fired the gun the gases caused the barrel in that small area to bulge outward!:yikes: I was lucky then and was lucky now. Went to ENCORES home, an MS member, and for whatever reason we stuck a bore scope up the barrel. Holy smokes!! No pun intended. We discovered the bulge. I could have been seriously injured or killed if my ML had exploded.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE check and mark your ramrod at the proper depth and recheck it before firing your ML. Please? It could save your eyesight, your hands, your life even. It could also save the life of your grandkid sitting next to you in the blind. This is caused by operator error. Not a flaw in the barrel. I admit it. Don't be in a hurry. I got lucky, but I screwed up.;);)
