Which Gun?

Without a deer sighting in 2 weeks on the farm I hunt, I am thinking of trying out my hand held rabbit mouth call for coyotes instead over Christmas break.



My question is... which gun do I bring?



1. My scoped .22LR loaded with high velocity hollow point (keep my shots to 70 yards or less)? This is a nice, accurate and light gun.



or...



2. My scoped 12 gauge smoothbore shotgun - with rifled slugs or buckshot.



So what do you experienced coyote junkies think? Will my hand held mouth caller be good enough to bring in a yote close enough with either gun?
