Hey, I ended up having to go help another office in Cleveland area. Went to the backpackers shop (fly tying supplies) near the area I am at for something to do that didn't involve the hotel. I seen the Black River near there...pretty dirty and high (to be expected). I read a report about the Rocky River saying it was similar.
I may be back here next week all week. And chances of being off work fairly early on certain days. Depending on river reports by Monday, I thought bout getting a 3-day pass for like tues-thurs and fishing the Rocky River in the afternoons with some egg flies/ leeches, similar.
So anyhow, I was curious if any of you guys have ever made it over this way before...I have been checking the regs, but anyone know of any special rules for this time of year. I wouldn't be aiming to keep anything IF i even caught anything far as those kinda regs. If you have fished this river before, I would be around the Emerald Necklace marina'ish. I dont think I would be venturing too far on my own, especially if the river is fast/deep, etc. May not even get IN the water much if I dont have to.
Ultimately, just to go wet a line, haha.
