I'm really enjoying this site for information! I've been here filling my head with knowledge and enjoying all of the posts. I plan on getting my CPL, mainly so that I can carry out in the woods without taking any chances of being accused of carrying concealed. One of the first things I've discovered is that the police don't mess around when it comes to carrying a pistol and I don't want to take any chances.
I just got my first pistol as a birthday present from my son in January. He asked me what kind of gun I would get if I could get one. I told him I've always wanted a stainless steel, 7 shot, S&W .357 Magnum revolver with a 6" barrel. He said "that's pretty specific" and I said "I know what I want". The next Sunday, we went to Jay's in Clare to look at them. I told the salesman what I was looking for and he set me up with my S&W 686. I filled out the paperwork and took it home that day. My son picked out a S&W 15 shot .40 caliber. He also got us a couple of cleaning kits and a few boxes of ammo. We're still waiting for the weather to break so we can go out to the woods to sight them in and target shoot.
