My possible Bmag breakthrough

I'm still struggling to get this gun to shoot. Finally got some AE 20gr today. Heard mostly good about them so I had to try them out right away. Set up my 100 target, lead sled, AE 20gr, Win 25gr, and Win 20gr ammo. The win 20's were not good out of my original bmag, but I had not tried them out of my replacement rifle. To be honest, I forgot I even had them so I figured I'd better bring them. I even brought my cleaning rod, solvent, and patches after reading an article by a guy swearing accuracy in the bmag suffers in the neighborhood of 50 shots and must be cleaned.

Shot 3 AE's out of a dirty barrel, 2 close and a bad flyer. Cleaned the barrel and shot 3 more just under an inch. Shot groups with both win options. 20's at about an inch, 25's close to 3 inches due to a flyer. 25's have been my best so far so I shot all 3 groups again to see if 25's got better and/or 20's got worse. AE's opened up to over 4 inches due to a flyer, win 25's around 3 again, and win 20's at about 1.5 inches.

So now I'm thinking clean barrel might be the deal with the AE ammo. Cleaned and shot all 3 again. AE at about 3 inches again, win 25's about 3, and win 20's just under 1.5 inches.

So after all that, I'm thinking I may have found my round. The win 20's did not seem to be affected by anything and produced no flyers out of 9. Based on my personal experience with this rifle, I'm calling that acceptable. And yes, shame on me for forgetting I even had them. I'll keep testing this to make sure it holds up. Hopefully I can get my hands on a box of Hornady 20's and they'll be even better. We'll see...
