I don't have access to a boat, and want to fish the walleye run on the Detroit River from shore. My 2 main questions are where, and what kind of baits/lures should I use.
I typically fish Belle Isle for bass and do pretty well there, but I've never specifically target Walleye. I'm thinking either belle isle, or along the river walk in Detroit. I've never fished the downriver area, so any shore spots around there would be great.
I'm thinking jigs tipped with minnows for bait, but if anyone has any other ideas of what would work best any help would be greatly appreciated.
