Should I go slow around a drift

I think this is a big problem , our new fisherman don't know how to maneuver in a drift or around the river when boats are that bad maybe , we should tell people not to be in a hurry to get back to the top , try idling at 3 mph or so no wake bake to the front would keep all of is more vertical and more productive , hope someone can explain this better than I can , and hope it will help all of us
