Does anyone disagree that hunter access should be the number one priority for any hunting organization ? I believe if there is good access, a lot of the problems facing hunting would be severely diminished.
Hunter numbers would increase
Poaching would decrease as more people would care about it
Quality of hunting would increase as a result of increased license sales.
There seems to be an overemphasis on youth hunting. Don't get me wrong, it is important. I have 2 sons that I take out and a couple nephews. There advantage is that i have the gear for them to use and places to go use it and am always ( well, almost always ) willing to take them out. I read about these youth hunts where the kids come in, have a hunt, and then what ? Their parents probably do not hunt, so what are the chances of them continuing to hunt ?
