Training Collars???

Adopted a middle aged female this winter with a need for some training before she is taken off a lead. Can I get some opinions on good and bad electronic training collars?

Any opinions on the bred are appreciated as well. We have some differing opinions between a Brittany or a runt English Setter. Tail is NOT cropped.
