Headed up to Sleeper State Park this coming weekend with the family and some friends. Thinking about taking the boat (16.5 foot Alumacraft deep v 90 Evinrude) with us. I am always in the Detroit River or Saint Clair River jiging or bottom bouncing for walleyes. Obviously I have to watch the wind out there, but I don't know where "there" is.
Looking for a little help on where to launch close to Sleeper State Park. Any pointers on how far out to target walleye for the adults, or perch fishing with the kids. I'm sure I could find a local bait shop and ask when we get there. However, I want to bring the proper fishing equipment i.e. poles, rigs...
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
