help w plans for a MN fishing trip

I was wondering if anyone had a suggestions for a wonderful lake/resort in MN for a family fishing trip. We have never been there before and don't really know much about the lakes there. It will be the wife and kids and Grandparents. We would like to fish the ussual but walleye would be last on the list behind Perch, Northern and Smallies. Any help would be appreciated.
