Weed and feed question.

The weeds have to be actively growing and the best time for that is right before they start pushing the flower up. You will need the rapid growth that comes when the full set of all those leaves are spread out.

Most likely you are talking about the dry powder stuff with the post-emergent weed killer mixed with fertilizer.. If so read the bag since every one that I have looked at says to put it down when the lawn is wet but will not be watered or rained on for 2 days. I have applied the stuff and had it rain before two days were up with satisfactory results but I can't say it will work for you.

I have used generic weed and feed and name brand like Scott's and both work well for weed control and fertilizing. Follow recommended application rates.

There is a pre-emergent out there. Not sure on the application info nor the weather requirements but I know that some of the gang is familiar with it. Hopefully they will post info.
