Minn Kota problem, moves on its own

I have a 3 year old Minn Kota Terrova with Auto pilot not I-pilot. I have a Lowrance 8 inch 1st gen mounted next to it sharing the sonar of the trolling motor. I have a problem with trolling motor moving on its own which will turn to the left and will continue until I press any turn direction on the remote. It does it with auto pilot on like it looses track of direction or north. Anyone else have the same problem or can tell me if my fish finder is mounted too close. I believe it usually does this with the fish finder on but I think it did it yesterday while the fish finder was off. Any suggestions will be helpful as I do NOT want to send it in for repairs because I need it as I fish a lot.



PM me and I can give my phone number if you prefer. It is extremely difficult to troll on Erie with it (with the waves) while pulling harnesses as it seems to be worse with bigger waves. (The fish finder is usually off when I have the problem on ERIE as I'm in the back of the boat. Thanks for any advise.
