Water clarity

Going to hit some marinas in the am.... maybe if I get there early enough, there will be a skim of ice....then I can call it ice fishing right??? Hahaha

Anyway, wondering on water clarity. Can't decide if i want to try the North side or the mile roads. Any info would be appreciated!!
