I am heading up to Canada in a couple weeks so I'm looking for a decent fish finder but nothing to expensive because it may not get used more than a few times a year, other than my trip to Canada. Looking in the $100-200 range.
How portable are they? I can't screw anything to the boat in Canada.

Looking at this but not sure how portable it is. Does attach via suction cup? It mentions a quick release/swivel.
I also have a Vexilar for ice fishing that I may just take. Has anyone ever used a Vex on open water?
