Let me apologize first for bringing this thread up again...I have seen outfitters listed on the forum before, but after over an hour of searching thru the threads...I can't come up with ANYTHING. Could you guys fire off a few guide services that you would recommend? Thanks for all your help!

Anyone else having this problem? Hunting bergland unit and first two days haven't seen a bear but baits are getting hit. Possibility they may hit during the day? Three days of hunting left.

started at 1&2 and nothing so moved out to the Ohio line and picked away for 57 with a lot of sorting . Ran into a few members litg8r (awesome rig) and to my surprise "Gone fishing" in Erie. Says a lot how stclair is not going well. Our minnows were very small with some extra big ones that we chopped up seemed to help.

Fall vs Spring Steelhead on the Huron

I am not understanding why fishable numbers of steelhead (few and limited locations) end up over the ladder in the springtime, yet no information is found anywhere of them passing the ladder in the fall. The Grand gets fall steelhead all the way to Lansing, so what gives on the Huron? Has anyone ever targeted fall run fish above Flat Rock? I remember reading net statistics from when the ladder was first installed. I do recall fish DID pass then. Perhaps not having boat access in this stretch...

Just moved and unfortunately at my new place I am loaded up with it. Also tons of Virginia creeper and brambles so it's all challenging my identification with every step. Young creeper looks very similar it seems.

I had never had a reaction in 36 years of lots of exposure. Got it decent last summer and now on high alert. Loaded the bath with technu and jewel weed salve just in case me or one of my kids gets it.

Our weekend was super slow only taking 4 birds over the course of 4 hunts. Though it was slow, the success was getting out in the fields, relaxing, and busting a couple banded birds. I have hunted between Gladwin and Rose City most of the last 17 years. me and my buddy have found it pretty tough since we started going again the past two years. Our dogs are young, but well bred (Britt from spice rum and setter out of Elvis) and we've had pretty rainy weather the last two years on our trip.Anyway, we are probably going to try the UP this year. I got in a big hurry this year planting brassica plots. (new baby may have tangled up a bunch of summer "fun" at the farm) My brassica plots are experiencing a good deal of competition from grasses. Can brassicas be sprayed with a grass specific herbicide? How much competition can they take from grass? Is it best to just live with the status quo? Thanks in advance for your insight.

Steelhead/king setup

Looking at getting a st Croix avid float rod. I can get a pretty good deal on a 11' Light. Line weight is 4-8lbs which would be more ideal for steelhead. Would that be too light for kings? I was thinking about putting some 10lb on the reel for my mainline which I know is little to much for the rod. Just looking for a little input. I was also thinking about just trying to get a med light since it's 6-10 line weight and I think that would be a little more versatile rod for steel and Kings....

I've been grouse hunting most of my life, but never with a dog. It's always been either out west where I know where coveys of blues are, or in Mich alongside a river on drumming routes. I got my pointing lab last fall, and he's started and ready to go, and we're hitting the grouse woods for the first time this weekend. I know it's going to be thick in there, but this is more of a learning thing and scouting trip for us, plus I'm just really stoked to get him out there.

Little background on myself, I hunt Bay County private land 99% of the time and an occasional trip to public land the othr 1%. Since the land I hunt is right out my back door I get in quite a few hunts throughout the season with fairly good results most years depending on what crops are still in the surrounding fields. This year is mostly beans so things are looking good for the deer staying in the woods more often!

Made it to the northern lower sunday. I did some scouting and moved a few, took the dogs out with a camera on monday and moved three single grouse. The dogs did well on them. Waterfowl Choke tube recommendations

Looking for advice/recommendations on waterfowl choke tubes. Does anyone have experience with Kicks or Carson's chokes? looking to add a decent choke to my gun for this season. I shoot a 12g, Remington 11-87 or 870 express. I've seen people make some great shots with the Carson's chokes but most research online points to Kicks. If anyone out there has had any luck with either of these any advice would be appreciated!

Recently I purchased some Goex black powder for one of my rifles.So I figured I would also try it out in one of my other rifles.It had more energy and also seemed to clean up easier.Using the same rifle,bullet,sabot,and charge volume.I shot at a steel sheet that was probly just under an 1/8 inch thick.The Pyrodex load would put a very deep dent in it.The Goex load would blast right threw it.And it just washed right out of the rifles when I cleaned them.Yes it was dirtier than Pyrodex but the...
