Is grouse hunting in UP genarally much better than LP?

I have hunted between Gladwin and Rose City most of the last 17 years. me and my buddy have found it pretty tough since we started going again the past two years. Our dogs are young, but well bred (Britt from spice rum and setter out of Elvis) and we've had pretty rainy weather the last two years on our trip.Anyway, we are probably going to try the UP this year.
