Manager of the year 2014????

Brad Ausmus??? No, not in my opinion. I think at the half way point in the 2014 season, Lloyd McClendon (my pick to replace Leyland), would get it hands down if the season were to end today. Legendary Lloyd took over a miserable Mariner team who in 2013 finished 25 games out of 1st in the West and 20 games under .500 posting a 71-91 Won/Lost record. As of tonight they are a mere 4.5 out of 1st in the West, winning 8 of their last 10, and sporting an amazing 26-16 road record. Their 47-38 (.553) has them at a 73.3% chance at getting into the play-offs right now which is only a game back of LA for the Wild Card spot in the American League.

Another very impressive number is their 289 RA (Runs Against). That is the ABSOLUTE BEST in MLB right now. Last season Seattle posted a dismal 754 RA, wow. Yep, Legendary Lloyd is getting it done in Seattle, and I couldn't be happier for the Ole Boy I always thought he could be the guy that would win the World Series after Jim left. Seattle made one heck of a move by signing him and Robbie Cano for the '14 season. He IMO will be the Manager of the Year in MLB for 2014.
