Mid River 7-6

Different kind of day for us today. Launched from Wyandotte, my wife started handlining spoons....nothing. Switched to bottom bouncers with harnesses.....nothing. Trolled some lures....nothing. Even threw on a downrigger set at 25 ft. with a spoon 35ft. back....nothing. Put away all the purpose driven stuff and set the anchor in 35 fow at the north corner of the main steel plant. Put three rods in the holders with three ways, two ft leader to weight, two foot leader to harness and just let the current spin the blades. Sat down for some lunch. Everyone showed up....gobies, silvers, rock bass, one small mouth, and a 16, a 20, and a 22 inch eye. Go figure. All in all it was a nice day to just hang out on the river and watch the boats go by. Went home to a nice fish dinner.
