White or Mo next weekend?

After several months of trying to get out camping, I am taking the family to White Cloud next weekend.

Will be within ten miles of the Muskegon and Upper White rivers. Does anyone have a recommendation as to which one to try? I have never fished that section of the White and wondered if it's wadeable or would a kayak be a better bet?
