10/17 SCR casting

Got out at 8PM last night and fished through the wind and some rain. Took over 2 hours to get a strike on a chrome/chart rattletrap and it popped off right after the hook set. Was then determined to not leave till I got another to go with Wednesday's fish so I could make a nice fish dinner. Kept at it and over 2 hours later finally felt that hit. Quickly netted the fish and when I turned my light on was happy to see a nice 18" walleye. Tried for another 30 minutes or so after that with nothing. Then the sprinkle turned to rain and I reluctantly packed it up about 1 AM.

The fish on the bottom is the one from last night the other is a 20 incher from Wednesday nights outing. Think the water temp has to drop some more to get these fish going along the shore. There are definitely no shortage of minnows around the shoreline for them to snack on that's for sure.
