m13 ramp (Cass River) info

just saw the ramp on a recent trip to saginaw off of m13 think the sign said shiawasse wildlife refuge... anyhow how far of a trek up river from there is it to where the rivers converge, and will I be able to make it through with a 16' deep v? never fished out this way before any help would be appreciated, are walleye found in this area on the cass? what is usually caught around this area.... my deer hunting hasn't been the luckiest this year figured id hit the river up while others are off in the woods... any help would be appreciated
