Call shy, mojo shy

A 11/8 report. Hunted livingston county. Missed a couple of lay ups and ended with 1 mallard. Fair amount of birds in the area... They are scared of the mojos and calling IMO. Noticed same thing at crow island last week. I hate not using them but seems like it may be the way to go. Most of the birds in the air stayed a great distance and showed no interest in joining their friends. Even a flock of geese was low and on line. They got just to the edge of range and peeled off away from our spread. Several low flying geese behind the first group did the same thing. Theses birds are educated and have become a real challenge. On the way back to the ramp we kicked up a lot of birds in small pods. Seems like smaller spreads with no mojo might be the ticket until we get a push. Thought I'd give my 2 cents since there hasn't been a whole lot reports. Thought with the cold weather we've been having we would have a better day. My lab wasn't too disappointed though. He'll be 9 in January and enjoyed hanging without making a ton of retrieves, getting old unfortunately :(. Looking forward to heading to reel foot after new years.
