Several trail camera pictures of this deer all summer and once I get multiple weeks of summer pictures of what I think is a mature deer, they usually stick around all year. Three encounters with this buck Saturday Nov 1st. Saturday morning at 10am he came in behind me down wind to within 5 yds with out presenting a shot. I moved to a different stand on the farther east side of this small thicket. I saw him at 6pm scent checking for does about 55 yds away and he was not interested in anything I was doing...grunts, weeze... nothin :dizzy:
6:35 I had a doe pop out of the cedars and just mill around. At 6:40 he pops out of the same area about 30 yds from me and thankfully she brought him into one of my openings. Stopped him at 27 yds and hammered him. He ran about 70 yds and piled up.
Oh... and btw... I was able to get this all on film. My first self film bow kill :D
Three pictures. Spot where I found him, trail cam from 08-6-14 and a screen shot from the hunt
Dressed at 180# and green scored at 134 2/8
