Hello,
Last when I was leaving my deer blind I decided to shot a bolt into the ground to release my bow. It must have been a "spongy" spot because my bolt buried itself in the dirt deep enough that I could not find it. Since that time I always walked my bow out to my truck and shot it into a yellow release target I bought at Dunhams.
Anyways, tomorrow I am hunting in a different spot and it is a much longer walk back to my truck. I would much rather release the bolt in the field as opposed to walking the long way back to my truck in the dark with the bow cocked. My "portable" release bag that I keep in the truck is not really an option for me because its just too much for me to carry out. So, does anyone have another idea? Should I try shooting into the ground again? I would hate to lose another bolt.
Thanks for any and all ideas!
