3 of us were out last weekend, and it was slow and kind of boring, they were running tip-ups, I was spearing. One of the guys called me and told me the other guy , ( who heard me say it was a little boring), said I need to understand , that 90% of the fish he has speared has been in the last hour or so of daylight, and that the rest of the time, I am basically just sitting there. does this make sense to anyone, or everyone? He is a sag. bay spear guy. does that create a difference. He also is a great fisherman who comes from a fishing family, and has a PHD in something, so tends to analyze things more than I do. I find so much of spearing, is like bowhunting, and short of the rut, I will not do all day sits. Do you guys have a preference of when to fish, or when not to?
best time of day to be in the shack
