So I got sent to a training class for Hot Spring Spas in Centerville(Dayton) OH last week. A few months back I had bought a pair of Orvis waders and boots online from a fly shop in Oh. I always stay local but I got a really good deal on the waders. I got out of class Tues and hit my computer at the hotel and punched in Fly shops in Centerville and turned out that fly shop was right down the same road I as the hotel I was at so I went and met the guys I had talked to a few times which was really nice.
Nice bunch and the owner Todd Mikesell and the guys there come up and fish the PM every year. They know the owners of the fly shop here in Traverse too, small world.
Just down the road was a brand new Field and Stream store that just opened so I wasted some time there too while I was in town. It was alot like Cabelas or Bass Pro in Missouri, cool store.
The class was good but came back last Fri sicker than a dog, fever for 2 days and thought I was dying. But better now so I need to get those rod racks finished this week and then on to the drift boat build. Next couple days here 20-30 below zero, the bay has officially frozen over for the 2nd year so the water will be cold this next summer like last, and spring steel looks farther away, dang it :fish:
