pontoon on DET river?

I have a 20ft fishing pontoon I normally use on sag bay. I have it rigged with a trolling plate on the motor and a 55lb thrust powerdrive V2 on the front. will it be too much work to try the river? I know there are lots of people out there when the going gets good!



I have never been there in the spring.



Any input or suggestions would be great. and NO I am not going to get a new boat. lol



What jigs to use, etc?
