Some interesting 'gill video (okay, I'm biased!)

Ignore the lack of quality. It's bad, I know! But in the limited video and a ton of similar observations off camera I saw some cool stuff.

I threw this together for the sole reason of showing some interesting reactions of the 'gills to my bait. First, if gills were in the hole as I dropped down they anticipated the drop of the bait and rather than track it all the way down, they appeared to go to where it should drop. Time and time again (not all on video) I watched this happened. Interestingly, they seemed to bite better if I stopped it and then they found it again, rather than letting it fall all the way the bottom.

Another interesting thing was how well (over the 2 days of fishing) a slow raise of the bait got the fish to finally commit. I had never tried a slow and steady raise...but it worked!

Pretty cool to see the blue gill "wolf pack" move around and accompanied by bass and perch at times.

Finally, the fish seemed to suddenly refuse the same bait they had been hammering all morning. I tried everything to get 'em to bite but they stopped and eventually disappeared.

Enjoy, like, and subscribe!
