I've been really going through the cutting heads on my augers due to extremely dirty ice in certain areas this year.
-4.5 inch Nils drill-style auger-
Nils recommends I send my heads to a certified sharpening service in Minnesota. However, many guys around here recommend Robisnson saw for auger sharpening.
Here's my specific question:
Have any of you had Robinson sharpen a Nils 4.5 cutting head, then used it for extended periods afterwards? If so, what were the results?
Please - I don't need feedback like "ya he sharpened my laser blades..." or "ya - but I've only used it once..."
Thanks, but I haven't heard of an example of someone getting the Nil heads sharpened and then used for a long period...
I'm a little nervous to take my heads there if Nils recommends only a certified type place...
Thanks for any info.
