Muskegon river open seats 2014

After a stellar season last year, I'm eager to get things rollin' on the Mo as soon as possible. This time last season I started a thread to share my open seats for pluggin' and was glad to see how many people that were willing to fish with a total stranger. Every outing was enjoyable and relaxing to say the least, some more productive than others, some were just good days on the water with a fish or two for our efforts. I hope that I see old faces again this season and plenty more new ones as well. For anyone who wanted to go and didn't get the chance, I hope we can get time and make a trip. We'll be running the same program as last year but, with a lot more equipment and way more plugs than one guy needs, thanks to some side work from a fellow member. We run plugs almost exclusively, not because it's the most productive but, because it's the best chance you have at connecting with a trophy fish. Last season our average fish was 12 lbs and we boated 3 master anglers and one that got away after the split ring straighten out. We'll be fishing from a 16' drift boat that fishes two up front and a rower. Between plug runs there will be rods in the boat to toss spinners for steelhead and salmon. We do use some bait but, not in the conventional fashion. If anybody is interested in a trip but, needs to plan one I can make plans way in the future. Hopefully it's a great season of bruises busting tackle and testing equipment.



There are open seats starting Saturday morning for salmon, fingers crossed. Trip starts very early and runs till around 1. Riders will be needed to help spot vehicles one above and one below. Bring your own snacks, drinks and comforts. I've got space for spare rods if you wanna bring one along. Make sure you prepare for whatever the weather may do, we're in a drift boat and are subject to the pace of the river. It's a first come first serve basis, first pm in gets it. Thanks guys.
