Panfish help for weekend

My brother in law is visiting Bay City from Wyoming this weekend and really wants to get on some panfish. Looking for at least a good lake for numbers of gills/crappie and maybe perch.



Due to lack of motorized transportation, I think we are limited to tributaries of the bay or other inland lakes. Not walking out on the bay in the forecasted weather...



Any suggestions as to where to try? Access points? Bait? Was thinking Wixom or Sanford could be okay, but have never fished either of them. And don't know where access points are...



If anyone can give me tips, locations, etc it would be greatly appreciated! PM welcome if you're willing to give up your secret spot for a couple days...



I am posting here and also saginaw bay/tribs because I'm not sure what some of the lakes would be considered.



I just want to show this guy some fish while he's here...
