After catching our friends Laura and George at the Lafayette Market on S. Saginaw a couple of times, we had a chance to check out the North side of the street last Friday.
Went to the Downtown 51 Grille (formerly Bo's Brewery) on N. Saginaw.
What a nice place! Large, spacious main floor with nice wooden flooring, a well-stocked bar and a menu that doesn't quit!
They smoke all their own meat on the premises. My wife, a long-time San Antone resident, says their pull pork is the best she's ever eaten; melt-in-your-mouth tender and nice and smoky!
My smoked meatloaf dinner with horseradish mashed potatoes had me wishing for a second stomach!
