Hens, Trumpets, and Chanterelles!

I spent a very nice Labor Day out in the woods and found lots of mushrooms! I found my first hen and my first black trumpets. I found more trumpets than I expected. Trumpets are a pain to find! The hen was 1.3 lbs by itself!



We made a really good meal with the trumpets last night (I'll post in recipes). What an amazing tasting mushroom. I'm hooked on foraging. There's so many delicious things out there in the woods. I think I might grab some autumn olives tonight :D
