Newer to hunting and have a question about a big buck

Just checked my trail cam and finally got a pic of a big 8 point.I have had the cam out for 3 weeks and I check it once a week.Have got a lot of pics of the same doe and fawn over the last few weeks and today I pulled the card and there is a big 8 point in one pic.He showed his face in one pic.lol.So I was wondering since I am new to hunting only been doing it since last year do these big bucks just pass by once in awhile or do they stay in the same area?I know there are a lot of different opinons out there but I was excited to see him after having the cam in the same spot for 3 weeks and the only buck I get is a monster and he is only in one pic and it was at 11:00 in the morning.lol.
