Keep your eyes open please

This is a vary good friend of mine asking for help. I know some of you have seen this on Facebook but I figured with the recent findings it may help the family to be posted here as well.

Ok, so we had our hopes up that Dad was in fact NOT in the Saginaw River. However, that MIGHT not be the case.

I spoke to the man that lead the first two of the six K-9 units on Friday this afternoon. Both of his dogs (strictly trained for body recovery situations) independently showed high interest at the location his group was expecting the most likely spot for evidence of a body in the water near Dad's work. With all three K-9 units from Gennesse K-9's officially showing indication on the cement under Vet's bridge on Monday... This gentleman is fairly confident that Dad really is in the water.

He went in extreme detail (upon my request) to describe the science behind all of this and explained where Dad's body could be right now. Working with a credible hydrologist, he believes that Dad WAS potentially in the location where the very accurate side sonar looked yesterday due to the slight indication (interest) his dogs showed at the shoreline near Defoe Park and the official indication the 3 K-9 units showed under Vet's Bridge. However, due to the temperature of the water, a body would have already began to rise to the surface when they were scanning.

He firmly believes that Dad's body is on it's way to the surface... Thus has traveled out of the area they looked because of the current.

We know this is a lot to ask but if you think you can handle seeing the worse-case scenario, please keep your eyes on the water for the ENTIRE river north of Vet's Bridge... All the way to the mouth and beyond. He said it would be very difficult to spot... You would see three points of contact (back of head and both shoulders).

If this man is correct and Dad is in the river, he will surface anywhere between now to April 3rd based on the depth and flow of the river.

There is only a 12-36 hour window on average for a body to remain at the surface so please, please keep your eyes on the water.

If you choose to participate in this visual water search, we do ask for you to do this search on land... Not on a boat. In fact, please stay out of the water because a body will not surface if the upper torso is damaged.

We hope and pray (and pray and pray and pray) that he isn't in the river... but Heaven forbid he is, my brother and I (along with all our family & friends) truly need closure.

This news just made me absolutely sick today...
