Really! Michigan took on an extra 130,750 lake trout in 2017 based on current inventories so the LMC could approve a lakewide reduction in lake trout to 2.54 million by 2018 to keep more chinook in the lake. You are going to kill us for that?

Lake Michigan has maintained a silver fishery 13 years after we learned about the crash in Huron. Maybe some of the stocking changes worked. Do we have more work to do? Absolutely!

I would be happy to discuss the LMC reasoning for all the stocking changes.
