Making Your Own Shot

I'm just curious if anyone here has tried making their own shot for reloading? I'm thinking of giving it a go after a lot of research. I'm going to be trying to make a 94% bismuth/6% tin alloy. From my research this can be a tricky concept, but I'm willing to give it a go.

If anyone has any tips or suggestions I'd be more than willing to listen. I'm in the very early stages of a homemade shot dropper idea, that I'm still probably a month away from actually getting up and running.
