Friend of mine is in the market for a new boat this year (his first one). We are headed to the boat show on Thursday to try and get a better idea of what he really wants but sounds like he wants to stay pretty minimal on the accessories for now. The few things we have talked about leads me to this. Tiller style 16.5-17.5', A beam 7' or wider, deep V, Large front and rear casting deck, 50 hp motor or better, 24v 80lbs thrust bow mount trolling motor and decent gps/fish finder.
