I'm a rookie ice fisherman and I'm headed to Lake St. Clair for the first time this coming Sunday, hoping to find some perch. I'm not looking for anyone's honey hole, but as a noob, I have a couple questions:
Where's a good access?
My range is anywhere from 16 mile down to Gross Pointe Farms. I'm looking for a place to park free and walk out on solid ice.
What should I use?
Is live bait best? I see lot's of posts about this jig or that jig. I have a few small colored jigs and a swedish pimple. I've also seen a lot of posts praising lure lipstick"
