Questions for experienced river guys

I've been fishing Sag river for about 6 years now and have been successful. My question is when it comes to finding quality fish is there something specific you are looking for in certain areas that draw them there. Fished yesterday and must have caught easily over 50 fish to get my limit. I threw a few of the smaller legal fish back because I feel there's not enough meat on those 13" fish imo. There's fish everywhere in that system now it seems, but loaded with way more smaller fish. Also...
