All of the horror fiction fans whether it is books, movies or graphic novels should be raising a glass in a toast to the late August Derleth. HP Lovecraft may have done a significant part in introducing horror as an American work of art but without the work of Derleth it would not have had the success it has. On a related note, the Misketonic University was first introduced to the public in February 1922.
